Le Road Trip is... tonight!!! I can't wait! We have stocked up on junk food and are all ready to go. In fact, I have just returned from a pop/brownie run. Hurrah!!! Other than that, not all that much has been happening. Once we return from the road trip, though, guess what time it will be??? Summertime! At least in theory, because Memorial Day (quite soon after we get back) is the day the pool where I live opens, and summer for me begins when I can go swimming on an almost daily basis. But now I am altogether too excited about the road trip to think about what will happen when I come back from it. In fact, I think I must leave you now for far-off distant lands (my bedroom) to finish packing.
Excitedly,
Rosie L.

Of Hometowns and Paperback Romances
Our road trip looms ever closer! In two days now, in fact! Or maybe looms isn't the right word, since it isn't really a bad thing. In fact, it's not a bad thing at all... anyhow, I have become once more consumed in my writing (as well as the excitement of the impending road trip), but this time, my focus has shifted from Raspberry Beret. I'm running out of time to turn in my completed pieces for this Creative Writing class I'm taking. I've already written a ton of poems, and I really don't have time to develop another whole story, so I'm writing single scenes. Lately, branching from one scene, I have become obsessed with writing a romantic comedy not unlike the cheesy (but really, really good and quite engrossing) Simon Pulse romantic comedies, set in my hometown. I think it would be so fun to write a story set in a town I know so well. Usually, since I hate doing research for my stories, I set it in a sort of nondescript town and I just sort of make it up as I go, but this time, it's going to be set in a real town, an amazing town, as a matter of fact! I can't wait to write it!!!
Excitedly,

Of Gettysburg and Pregnant Spiders
Yet again, I have found it difficult to post in a while. I don't know what has gotten into me, but I'm going to stop saying anything next time I'm too busy to post in a while. Anyhow, soon I will be going on a road trip to Philadelphia with some friends. Gettysburg and such. You know, edjumacation. History. In preparation for having as much fun as we can, one of my friends has taught us a very amusing little trick that her sister made up. You get a rather large sweatshirt and put your legs in the arm holes with the main body of the sweatshirt hanging down between your legs. Then, you sort of dive down into the sweatshirt and struggle a bit, then put your head through the hood bit. And there you have it: Sweatshirt Troll. You end up looking like one of three things: a strange little creature not dissimilar to the wotsit-thing in The Black Cauldron but more deformed, a pregnant spider, or a poor child with no legs. Needless to say, it really makes you laugh. Anyway, we think we may do it for graduation, and say really cheesy speeches. Buckets of laughs. I can't wait.
Well, anyway, the My Prince situation remains as hopeless as ever, except worse, because, well, I am not getting any younger. Sigh... what can ya' do? But the road trip will take my mind off it!
Excitedly,
Rosie L.
